    Johannesburg Airport Car Hire

As World Cup preparations kick off, many are arranging their South Africa car hire, booking accommodation, double checking flight tickets and doing all those endless last minute travel checks that seem to arise. For those who have not yet visited the country, South Africa offers a great number of things to do aside from the main soccer events, and with the convenience of car hire, visitors can set off on mini adventures across the three major soccer cities on the days when no matches are played, to get a taste of what the country has to offer.

The three major soccer cities include the following:

    1. Cape Town

As one of the most popular travel destinations in the world, Cape Town is famous for its beautiful scenery, iconic landmarks such as Table Mountain and Robben Island (where former president Nelson Mandel was jailed) and many other fascinating things to do in between. Organise car hire in Cape Town, and try the stunning Cape Wine Route that travels through key wine-producing regions such as Stellenbosch. Savour fine wines, enjoy delicious cuisine and admire the breathtaking views. Also worth trying is shark cage diving (for the thrill-seekers out there), shopping at the V&A Waterfront, a trip up the cable car, visit to the Two Oceans Aquarium or a leisurely boat cruise around the Atlantic Seaboard. All of this and so much more can be enjoyed with your car rental in Cape Town.

    1. Durban

One of the best things about Durban is its warm climate, which means that you can enjoy excellent beaches even during the chilly winter months. Warm waters, endless stretches of white sand and a permanent holiday atmosphere are only the start – there are also a number of things to see and do. Try a rickshaw ride along the beachfront, sample the delicious spicy Indian delicacies (bunny chows are not to be missed!), visit the fascinating uShaka Marine World and learn more about the city’s diverse cultural heritage. You could also take a day trip with you hired car, to explore some of the attractions within the greater KwaZulu-Natal area such as the Elephant Coast, Drakensberg or St. Lucia.

    1. Johannesburg

Some of the best things to do in Johannesburg include a visit to the famous township of Soweto (where many great South African leaders were born), as well as picnics at Zoo Lake, strolls down Mellville’s artsy and interesting Seventh Avenue, world-class shopping at Sandton, visits to scenic sports such Emmarentia Dam and the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, and a myriad of excellent restaurants, bars and cafes. With car hire in Johannesburg, you can choose your own adventure, and explore the city at leisure.

With so much to see and do across the country, visitors to South Africa are certainly spoiled for choice when it comes to finding things to do when they are not watching the soccer. Car rental in Johannesburg, Cape Town or Durban offers a fuss-free way to get around in comfort and ease, ensuring the best travel experience by far.
