    dangerous dogs in the world

Any dog can be dangerous if not properly trained. Dogs can be vicious, especially towards other dogs. If you are concerned about dog attacks on your pet, dog health insurance will offer peace of mind in knowing that you dog will get the best health service.

Here is a list of the top 10 most dangerous dogs in the world. If you have one of these dogs and is likely to get into dog fights, consider dog health insurance.

    1. Pitbulls

The pitbull is undoubtedly the most dangerous dogs in the world. These dogs are stocky and muscular and weighs in at about 65 pounds. What makes them dangerous is that when they attack, they target the victim’s throat.

    2. Rottweilers

Rottweilers are known for their territorial habits, which essentially makes them dangerous. These dogs can reach weights of up to 130 pounds. High profile businessmen, celebrities and politicians usually use Rottweilers as guard dogs.

    3. German Shepards

While German Shepards are known for their gentle and tender mannerisms, they can also be extremely dangerous. These dogs can weigh up to 100 pounds and are loyal police dogs, are family orientated and serve well as guide dogs. German Shepards are intelligent and very powerful, making them slightly more dangerous than the rest.

    4. Huskies

Even though Huskies can be very dangerous, only 15 people have died at the hands (or jaws) of these dogs in the last 20 years. These dogs are energetic to a point of being hysterical, which means they require constant interaction and companionship from their owners. Huskies can weigh about 66 pounds and are very loyal to the family they belong to.

    5. Alaskan Malamutes

Alaskan Malamutes are extremely intelligent animals and are equally devoted to their masters. Like Huskies, they are very energetic and hyper and can get restless easily. This restlessness can lead to aggression. These dogs can weigh about 100 pounds and because they are built for the Arctic weather, their coats are coarse and thick.

    6. Doberman Pinschers

These dogs are muscular and sleek and are popular guard dogs. These dogs are extremely loyal and protective of the family it watches over, which can make them really dangerous. Dobermans can weight up to 90 pounds.

    7. Chow Chows

These attention seeking dogs are adorable, but can be equally dangerous if they are not familiar with the person petting or touching them. These dogs need attention and encouragement on a daily basis.

    8. Great Danes

Great Danes can weigh up to a massive 200 pounds, making them very intimidating. These dogs require adequate, regular exercise and should be taken for long walks. However, the can be dangerous if they do not get the attention they demand, and can lash out and rebel.

    9. St. Bernards

Thanks, in part, to the family movie Beethoven, St Bernards are one of the most loved dogs in the world. St Bernards are very gentle creatures and are often considered harmless, but their massive size can make them dangerous. They can knock out an average sized human just by pouncing on them if they are not properly trained.

    10. Akitas

Akitas are beautiful, bold and strong dogs and are quite harmless if trained properly. This makes them the least dangerous breed of the list.
