The jockey is the only person the general public sees connected to a racehorse when it is on the starting line.
However, the truth is that training a racehorse requires a large team effort, with each member contributing in some small way to guarantee the best possible performance from their rival.
Instructors frequently remind us that “we are only as good as our team.”
Each horse competing in the Randox Grand National this afternoon has a group of supporters who have all contributed in some way.
