    In virtually all businesses out there today, a human resource manager is needed, in order to properly handle tasks such as staff recruitment, employee welfare, salaries and other benefits including holidays. The human resource team basically interfaces with all the departments in an organization with the aim of relating their concerns and challenges to the management of the organization. Challenges they might be facing, which is likely to reduce their overall productivity at the workplace. Having a good Human Resource management system in place will go a long way in helping a company get a good return on investment. Because it simply means that the HR manager gets to hire only competent and qualified staff, while the company employees are well compensated for their performance. Having such structure in place will always keep the employees motivated.

    The innovation brought by Information Technology has made it possible for processes to be automated using computer software and related hardware. Human resources is not left out of the picture as there are applications that are now available, which are designed for handling human resource management in a more efficient and effective manner. A human resource management system, which basically relates processes and systems of everyday HR activities using information technology, has become the de facto standard for most organizations today. Employees no longer handle human resource processes manually.

    The availability of such systems is a clear indication of how information technology has been integrated into the human resource management process. This is basically by reducing the risks involved with manual handling of HR processes, not to mention the high possibility of human errors that is eliminated. The process of recruiting and retaining the right employees for an organization is one of the major responsibilities of human resources. CEOs and managers understand that highly qualified people can take their business to the next level, when they have them working for your company. Using human resource management software will not only help automate the process but make it more efficient.

    Another major responsibility of the human resource manager is to monitor and manage the performance of employees in an organization. This is achieved by identifying the strengths and weaknesses of each employee in the organization, which can in turn help the HR manager to properly assign tasks to them or provide training as needed. Using the right human resource management software, the entire process of performance monitory and management can be automated and made more efficient by putting proper Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in place. Human resource management like any other aspect of business management can now be fully automated using the right software. With services and technologies like an appraisal system, human resource payroll system, customer resource management (CRM) and corporate management systems such as enterprise resource planning software (ERP).

    There are more human resource management software out there today that are designed to handle specific aspects of the human resource management process, and all these systems aim at relieving the HR department of their challenging and often cumbersome workloads, if properly utilized in an organization.
